Well, i've been here for almost a week now. I can't believe it's gone by so quickly.
Well, today is my birthday, and i'm far away from home. Suz and i stayed up...really late...and watched two movies so i was really tired. Then, this morning around nine her family comes into the room singing happy birthday.
They had brought me breakfast in bed! It was really cute, a big bowl of fruit, good fruit, and some homemade orange juice. They got me presents, which was really nice. They had gotten me some beautiful blue finnish cups, and then Emilia had made me a book of all the flowers here. They were pressed and then laminated with their names on the back. It was adorable. It must have taken her forever to make, and i'm really touched she would give me something so precious. She also wrote me a cute card...in cute little english and so did Daneil. So, all in all it was a great birthday morning. I also had two presents from home, and thank you mom and dad and boys, ahhah. I got a new book and some candy, licorice, the only kind i'll eat. ahahah.
The last couple days it has been raining here. And when it rains, it's beautiful. Everything is so green and vibrant. We went on a walk and Daneil had fun splashing in the puddles.
Susanna took me to the sea, which, believe it or not is about five minute walk from their house. It is beautiful. The sand is almost a red color and it contrasts beautifully with the green reeds and blue water.
We plan on going to the north part of Finland tommorow, where we'll also visit Helsinki and I get to do baptisims there. i'm not sure what we will be doing in the north, but i don't think they will have computers so it might be a while before i write again. Susanna says it's very beautiful though and colder.
The other day, Sus and I wanted some bread but their bread had gone bad. So suz took me on her little scooter thing to the store. It was really fun. I felt like an astronote in the helmet, and had great fun with blowing hard so the glass in the front got foggy. The stores here are a little different then ares, but not too much. Just smaller maybe.
Hopefully today it is warmer outside, because Sus and i are going shopping. Talk to you later, love!
